Cheryl Armstrong is the founder and owner of Plant Your Energy with over fifteen years of experience helping currently and formerly incarcerated individuals to change their thinking and transform their character. During her 26 years of incarceration, Cheryl earned an M.A. in Humanities, designed and launched the aforementioned self-improvement program, and wrote her first book, Plant Your Energy: Face Your Demons and Transform Your Life. She published it shortly after her release in 2021 and created a class from it, which she is now teaching in Colorado prisons. Her goal is to expand the program until it is taught in prisons across the country, helping people create lasting change in their lives.
Cheryl believes that no one is their worst mistake. She currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona, and is working to build Plant Your Energy so she can play a part in changing people’s lives for the better. Through the Ben Free Project, she hopes to expand her program into prisons all across the United States.
